Starting off his career as World No. 1 junior in 2003, Marcos Baghdatis has become a household name over the last 16 years. His career high came between 2005 – 2016 when he retained 12 consecutive seasons in the Top 100. Baghdatis made his Davis Cup debut at the age of 14, as one of the most successful Davis Cup players of the 21st Century, leading Cyprus to victory with an uninterrupted winning streak of 36 singles matches. In more recent success, 2018 saw Baghdatis play his way to the final 16 at Indian Wells. Facing tough opponents including No.17 seed Diego Schwartzman and No. 38 seed Milos Raonic. 2019 is looking promising for the accomplished player, reaching the quarter finals in Montpellier and defeating world No.17 Lucas Pouille.
